This increased choice means that you don't have to trade-off your favourite style against, for example, one with the benefits of a maintenance-free finish or the luxury of real timber. And all Cardale doors carry a 2 years manufacturer warranty.

 

Of the materials and finishes on offer from Cardale, the most popular and lowest cost is steel, followed by timber and then the composite materials. The composite materials offer a high level of detail and finish. They require no further finishing and are maintenance-free. Glass reinforced polyester (GRP), as found in the Glasswhite and Glasswood ranges, is the most common composite material, although advances in plastics technology has allowed Cardale to produce the Elite range of low-gloss brilliant white UV-stable garage doors from impact resistant ABS plastic - ideal for matching PVCu doors and windows.

 

Maintenance-free finishes are also availabe for Cardale steel doors in the Weatherwhite and Weatherwood® ranges. These doors have a Plastisol coating on the exterior side that does not require painting for 10 years - quaranteed.

 

Timber is the material most cherished by homeowners, although many are put off by previous experiences with doors rotting. Cardale use only the finest selected solid Cedar in the Futura range and complement this with preservative dipped high grade exterior plywood in the Heritage range. All doors in the Heritage range are also supplied with a two-stage base coat stain (optional on Futura doors). This, coupled with advances in micro-porous stains means that Cardale timber garage doors only require simple finishing and maintenance for a long beautiful life.
